<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accelerate printing while minimizing deterioration of image quality.SOLUTION: A print control apparatus comprises: an image acquisition unit for acquiring image data of a raster form expressing an object; a compression processing unit for irreversible compression of the image data; and a transfer unit for transferring to a printing unit the compressed image data as a printing target. When the resolution of the image data is smaller than a predetermined threshold, the compression processing unit executes resolution conversion to improve the resolution of the image data, and irreversibly compresses the image data having the resolution converted.</p> |
