PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound absorption member that reduces a member that is not required by a conventional sound absorption member and improves the convenience in conveyance and storage.SOLUTION: The sound absorption member 1 is used for forming a cell-shaped silencer. The cross-sectional shape thereof is an L-shape having a first part 3 extending in a first direction and a second part 7 extending in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction. The sound absorption member 1 has a predetermined length in a third direction orthogonal to the first direction and second direction.
