PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent returning of blood cells to a sensing area, and to further improve accuracy of a blood cell measurement.SOLUTION: A blood measurement device comprises: first and second containers 11 and 12 that communicate with each other via an aperture 14; first and second electrodes 21 an 22; a fluid supply source that has a sheath liquid stored and supplies the sheath liquid to the first and second containers with the sheath liquid compressed; sheath flow generation means for sending out a blood specimen to be supplied to the first container 11 to the aperture 14 by a sheath flow; and swirling flow generation means for causing the blood specimen outflowing from the aperture 14 to the second container 12 to outflow in a direction spacing from the aperture 14 by a swirling flow. Thus, a pressure of the sheath liquid to be supplied to the first and second containers is differentiated. |
