PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video recorder which is detachably fastened on a windscreen or a glass pane from the inside of a car and can prevent light from an external stray light source falling on a lens of a video camera.SOLUTION: Sidewalls of a video recorder housing form an enclosed internal cavity where a video camera is disposed. Since one side wall of the video recorder housing is substantially flat, the one side wall provides a fastening side for mounting the housing to the windscreen either directly or through a gasket with a firm plate for forming a detachable fixation of the video recorder to the windscreen. On the housing fastening side, there is a window, and the gasket and the plate include openings of the same form and arrangement as the window. An optical axis of a video camera lens is directed toward the window through the enclosed internal cavity in such a manner that visible light transmitted through the cavity and projected on the lens of the video camera of the video recorder can be received by an image sensor of the video camera. |
