<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide VAD technique for detecting a voice section with high noise resistance with such a light calculation amount as to allow real-time processing.SOLUTION: A voice activity detection method is configured by repetition of: a step (S1) of taking out an acoustic signal corresponding a length of a prescribed window from an acoustic signal having a prescribed length comprising analog-digital converted environmental noise and voice; a step (S2) of extracting an acoustic characteristic from the taken-out acoustic signal; a step (S3) of sequentially performing principal component analysis from the extracted acoustic characteristic to update an environmental noise model comprising an eigenvector of the acoustic characteristic; a step (S4) of comparing the updated environmental noise model and an acoustic characteristic vector of the acoustic signal to calculate a deviation amount thereof; and a step (S5) of comparing the deviation amount and an initialized threshold value to distinguish a voice section.</p> |
