<p>Provided is a video recorder which can be attached to a wind screen or a glass by itself inside a vehicle. The side wall of a video recorder has an inner sealed hollow unit and a video camera is arranged in the unit. One side wall of the video recorder is substantially flat and a fixed surface for installation through a gasket having a rigid plate is provided so that a housing can be directly attached to the wind screen or through a gasket or so that the video recorder can be detachably fixed to the wind screen. A housing fixing surface is equipped with a window, a gasket, and a plate (if any). Each of the window, the gasket, and the plate has an open unit having the same shape and arrangement with the window. The optical axis of a video camera lens is arranged to the window through the inner sealed hollow unit. An outer beam, for example, visible light entering the video camera lens of the video recorder after passing through the hollow unit is obtained by a camera image sensor and an image is obtained. The structure prevents dim light from entering the camera lens from an outer light source, so an image received by the dim light from the outer light source is prevented from being distorted.</p> |
