PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To convey coins to appropriate destinations, after resumption of their conveyance.SOLUTION: A coin handling apparatus includes a conveyance path along which coins are conveyed in their due conveyance direction, a discriminating part that discriminates coins on the way of conveyance, a controlling part that causes the coins to be conveyed to destinations corresponding to the result of discrimination performed by the discriminating part, and a coin detecting part which is disposed downstream from the discriminating part on the conveyance path and detects coins having passed through the discriminating part. The controlling part, if any coin is detected by the coin detecting part earlier than the supposed detection timing upon conveyance resumption, forbids the coin from being conveyed to the destination corresponding to the result of discrimination. |
