PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a personal charging cable from being stolen without complicating the configuration of a cable lock mechanism and without impairing convenience of a user.SOLUTION: In a charging system for charging an on-vehicle battery by the power from either a personal or shared charging cable, the personal charging cable is provided with a circuit for transmitting a collation signal. The shared charging cable is not provided with a circuit for transmitting a collation signal. A control device (ECU) of a vehicle determines whether or not the charging cable connected to the vehicle is a personal charging cable based on the presence/absence of a collation signal from the charging cable. When the charging cable connected to the vehicle is a personal charging cable, the ECU locks the charging cable at all times, and when the charging cable connected to the vehicle is a shared charging cable, the ECU locks the charging cable until charging is completed, and unlocks the charging cable after charging is completed. |
