<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording apparatus and a control method capable of controlling the feed start timing with a reduced number of driving sources.SOLUTION: The recording apparatus includes a conveyance unit, a feed unit, a discharge unit, driving sources for these units, control means for starting a feed operation of a subsequent recording medium before a precedent recording medium is discharged, a switching mechanism capable of switching the driving state of the feed unit between a feed state and a non-feed state, and a regulation mechanism for regulating reverse feeding by the discharge unit. The control means changes the timing for starting the feed operation of the subsequent recording medium according to a recording start position of the subsequent recording medium.</p> |
