<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reader that reduces irregularity or the like in a read image due to color or shape of attracting conveyance means while maintaining an advantageous effect in that the attracting conveyance means are arranged because the attracting conveyance means is arranged downstream in the direction of document conveyance and is not arranged in a document reading position.SOLUTION: An image reader 500 comprises: a platen glass 202; a reader 200; an ADF 100; and a controller 50X having a first reading mode in which a document placed on the platen glass 202 is read by moving the reader 200, and a second reading mode in which a document conveyed by the ADF 100 is made to stand by in a document reading position and is read through the platen glass 202. The ADF 100 includes an electrostatic attraction roller 11, which is arranged more downstream in a document conveying direction than the document reading position, and which conveys the document, passed through the document reading position, while attracting it.</p> |
