PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of preventing occurrence of a skew in a sheet in deviation correction due to the time-series deterioration of a resist oscillation mechanism component, and suppressing the deterioration of oscillation responsiveness, and accurately positioning an image and a sheet.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: an image forming part; a resist roller; a nip pressure adjustment part for adjusting a nip pressure due to the resist roller; a deviation detection part for detecting the position in the width direction of a sheet; a deviation correction part for allowing the resistor roller to oscillate in the sheet width direction, and for returning the position in the width direction of the sheet to a reference position; a skew detection part for detecting the skew of the sheet which has passed through the resistor roller; and a control part for controlling the nip pressure adjustment part to hold a predetermined nip pressure on the basis of the detection result of the skew detection part. |
