PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable movement operation of any level occupancy between two quantum levels in a communication wavelength band.SOLUTION: A population trapping is combined with two stimulated Raman adiabatic passages by radiating first pulse laser light 101 that makes a first ground level of a substance resonate with an excitation level by predetermined detuning, second pulse laser light 102 that makes a second ground level of the substance resonate with the excitation level by the detuning, and third pulse laser light 103 that makes a third ground level of the substance resonate with the excitation level by the detuning to the substance with a four-level system of three discrete first, second, and third ground levels, and one excitation level. |
