TELEPHONE CONFERENCE SYSTEM AND SECRECY SPEECH METHOD IN THE SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply realize a secrecy speech without using a private line.SOLUTION: In a telephone conference system 1, multiple telephone sets 30 are connected through telephone lines to a main device 10 for synthesizing conference voice to be transmitted from each one of the telephone sets and transmitting it to all the telephone sets. Each telephone set includes a display unit for displaying conference participant information generated by the main device and urging the selection operation of a request destination telephone set to which a secrecy speech is to be performed. When a secrecy speech request with respect to the request destination telephone set to be selected by one of the telephone sets with a specific operation is received, the main device obtains a reply from the request destination telephone set, and synthesizes the secrecy speech with the conference voice.
