<p>1514890 Sawing IMK INDUSTRISERVICE AB 14 Oct 1976 [16 Oct 1975] 42633/76 Heading B5L A method of treating a rotary saw blade so that its sound, when performing a sawing operation, is reduced or deadened, comprises spraying molten metal into at least one recess, adapted to return the metal therein, in at least one side of the blade. As described, the blade 1, having a cutting edge 6 and centre hole, is provided with two annular recesses 2, 3 and 4, 5 in each of its sides. Each recess is filled with drops of molten metal from a flame or thermal spraying gun 8 supplied with metal powder or wire. The metal may be zinc lead, cadmium, copper or alloys thereof, and, to assist bonding, a binder of a nickel and aluminium compound may be initially sprayed into the recesses. The recesses may have granulated or roughened surfaces and a dovetail cross-section.</p> |
