PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a method capable of achieving stable operation by adding a water-soluble polymer in a paper-making process to reduce contamination generated in the process and pitch generated in paper making.SOLUTION: A pitch reduction effect excellent compared with a conventional coagulant or pitch controller is obtained by adding an anionic water-soluble polymer having a specified structural unit and a weight average molecular weight of 5-30 million to a specified addition place in a paper-making process, concretely, a place having a pulp dry solid concentration of 2.0 mass% or more and stable operation can be achieved. |
