PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power tool of which weight can be remarkably saved and which has excellent usability.SOLUTION: A circular saw 1 has a body 3 which is equipped with a disk-shaped saw blade 4 rotationally driven by a brushless motor 5 and is provided above a base 2 having a rectangular shape in a plan view. The brushless motor 5 is so designed that the dimension of the motor in an axial direction is reduced by reducing the number of lamination layers of steel plates 28a, 28a, ...of a stator core 28 of a stator 26 so as to save the weight of the motor. Thus, a rotary shaft 31 of the brushless motor 5 can be rotated at such a high speed that number of revolution is equal to or more than 40000 revolutions/minute. |
