PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic probe capable of measuring a narrow weld portion with high accuracy, and an ultrasonic inspection device capable of accurately measuring a body to be inspected in which an erect wall exists surrounding the weld portion.SOLUTION: An ultrasonic probe 3 according to one embodiment of the present invention has a tapered delay material 2. An ultrasonic wave radiated from the ultrasonic probe 3 propagates along the tapered delay material 2 reaching a narrow weld portion. An ultrasonic inspection device according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises a contact medium supply nozzle 12, a contact medium suction nozzle 13, and a contact medium holding member 14 enclosing part of its outer circumferential contact surface with the ultrasonic probe 3 and a body 10 to be inspected. The contact medium holding member 14 is a plate-like member having a notch 51 at one end, part of the ultrasonic probe 3 being enclosed by the notch 51. The contact medium holding member 14 is driven to scan the narrow weld portion so as not to interfere with the erect wall of the body to be inspected while supplying, applying, and recovering the contact medium at the same time. |
