PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus for extracting an area of a resemblance color with high accuracy.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus 13 includes: an area designation unit 132 for designating a predetermined area in an image; a hue angle calculation unit 133 for calculating a hue angle in each pixel or each small area in the image, and for calculating a reference hue angle in the predetermined area from the hue angle in the pixel or small area in the predetermined area; and an area extraction unit 134 for extracting the area of a resemblance color from the image, on the basis of at least a difference between the reference hue angle and the hue angle.
