Multisection exhaust for IC engine - has outside casing and inner elements connected with sliding seals

The multisection exhaust system is used for a multicylinder i.c. engine with inclined cylinders. The exhaust system has external water cooled parts which support the inner exhaust pipe system connected to the outside system nozzles. This exhaust system has good flow characteristics and it is economical to make. The inner pipe system consists of several elements(7, 8) which form exhaust gas channels (9) together with the inner wall (3) of the external system (1). The elements (7, 8) are connected in line and fastened individually on the outside casing(1). Sealing elements are placed between the inner elements and a seal can slide longitudinally together with the projections or grooves of the inner units.
