<p>The support consists of a series of rods with profiled cross sections arranged parallel to each other and supported by each other. The open space between them is less than 0.1 mm. plus 1.5 x the filter mesh zie, though larger than the mesh size. These rods thus form a gap type filter medium below the woven medium. The rods which actually support the woven material have a supporting edge formed by two surfaces intersecting at an acute angle. In an alternative arrangement, the supporting rods with the support edges can be at right-angles to the filter rods. These can then be arranged above or below the support rods.
