PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a banknote processing device which can miniaturize and simplify an obverse and reverse side alignment part.SOLUTION: A banknote processing device comprises: an obverse and reverse side alignment part 50 which aligns obverse and reverse of the banknote transferred from storage parts 18B-18D on the basis of the identification result of an identification part 16; and a payment port 12 which receives the banknotes of which obverse and reverse is aligned. The obverse and reverse side alignment part 50 includes: an obverse note route Ab, Ac through which the banknote passes without being inverted; a reverse note route 15J through which the banknote passes after being inverted; a distribution part 20J which distributes the banknote to the obverse note route Ab, Ac and the reverse note route 15J; and a confluent part 51 which merges the obverse note route Ab, Ac with the reverse note route 15J in the opposite side of the distribution part 20J. The confluent part 51 is connected to the payment port 12 without branching, and a multi-feeding detection sensor 55 is disposed between the confluent part 51 and the payment port 12. A controller 60 is disposed to determine whether payment of the banknotes to the payment port 12 is correct or not based on the identification result of the identification part 16 and the detection result of the multi-feeding detection sensor 55. |
