<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the occurrence of stray light to improve contrast and image quality.SOLUTION: A light beam 102 from a light source 101 is converted to a parallel light beam by a coupling lens 103 and is shaped by an aperture 104 to impinge on a light deflector 105. An aperture 110 is arranged between the aperture 104 and the light deflector 105. The aperture 110 blocks diffracted light 108 from the aperture 104. Light reaching the light deflector 105 is light obtained by diffracting the diffracted light from the aperture 104 further by the aperture 110. Thus, the diffracted light reaching the light deflector 105 remains, but has the intensity very reduced.</p> |
