The present invention provides: an apparatus for recycling gas which recycles gas wasted by being lost in the air and enhances profitability, thereby increasing economic efficiency of a facility; and a controlling method thereof. The apparatus for recycling gas used in a gas use process comprises: a main tank in which gas phase vaporized gas is stored; a compressor which is connected to the main tank and compresses the vaporized gas into liquid phase liquefied gas; a temperature rising device which is connected to the compressor, rises temperature of the liquefied gas, and provides the same to the gas use process; a back-up tank comprising an inner space divided into a liquefied gas layer, in which the liquefied gas is stored, and a vaporized gas layer, in which the liquefied gas is vaporized and formed in the upper part of the liquefied gas layer; and a sub-supply pipe which connects the back-up tank to a vaporizer, and can move the vaporized gas in the vaporized gas layer to the vaporizer. |
