PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle emergency stop device capable of controlling a safety system load even after an engine is stopped in an emergency.SOLUTION: A vehicle emergency stop system has: safety system control sections which control a safety system load necessary for safely stopping a vehicle when urgently stopping an engine; engine emergency stop receiving means to urgently stop the engine; a first control section which outputs a first emergency stop signal to stop the engine on the basis of an emergency stop request signal output from the engine emergency stop receiving means; a first opening/closing device 3 which supplies electric power to drive the engine and cuts off the same on the basis of the first emergency stop signal; and a second opening/closing device 11 which supplies the electric power to the safety system control sections 14a and 14b while the first opening/closing device 3 performs cutoff operation on the basis of reception of the first emergency stop signal.
