PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To guarantee the reliability of a server virtualization system in which a plurality of virtual machines are arranged and executed in a physical server.SOLUTION: A power supply controller 412 has a function for controlling, for a plurality of physical servers 10 constituting a server virtualization system 100, the power supply separately for a power OFF standby device which is one of the physical servers in a power OFF state, a power ON standby device which is one of the physical servers 10 in which a virtual machine 20 is not disposed and which is in a power ON state, and an active device which is one of the physical servers 10 in which the virtual machine 20 is disposed and is operating. The power supply controller 412 determines the number of units of the power ON standby device in accordance with the load of the active device so that a ratio of a throughput value (or number of units) of the active device to a throughput value (or number of units) of the power ON standby device satisfies a fist prescribed range of conditions (or a second prescribed range of conditions). |
