<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric motor and an electric power steering device, which restrict abnormal sound emitted from a gap between a motor case and a flange member, while allowing the motor case and the flange member to be fastened at two points.SOLUTION: An electric motor comprises: a motor case that has a cylindrical shape with an opening at one end, has a case flange, as an end face formed by externally broadening an opening-side end part, and incorporates a motor rotor; and an input/output shaft rotated while interlocking with the motor rotor. The electric motor further comprises: a flange member that is fixed to a case flange by two case fixing mechanisms, and through which the input/output shaft extends; a through-hole through which the flange member extends toward the face of the case flange, which face is in opposite to the flange member, in a place different from the places of the two case fixing mechanisms; and a pressing member inserted into the through-hole, and whose end part comes into contact with the case flange and presses it.</p> |
