The present invention relates to a water soluble polyamino acid or a dendrimer type water soluble photosensitizer for photodynamic therapy, which has a polyamino acid with bonded pH-sensitive materials bonded to the photosensitizer wherein the pH-sensitive materials have tertiary amines. The photosensitizer of the present invention has an outstanding solubility for water, controls electric charges by the change of pH, and can improve the efficiency of generating active oxygen species compared with a conventional photosensitizer, thereby increasing the therapy efficiency of photodynamic therapy. |
