<p>Improvements in tensioning systems for flexible roofs, which consists in a piece (0) of protective material having waterproof and elasticity characteristics such as canvas, rubber for greenhouses or plastics of prolonged durability, or any other material of similar characteristics, which is preferably of a rectangular or square shape, which surface is crossed by independent rows of beams (3 and 4) separated therebetween, and which are always fixed to the membrane by conventional mechanical means. The largest end portions of said roofs may optionally be attached in a sequential manner to other similar roofs for forming roofs of largest sizes (figs. 31, 32 and 33). Said roofs are intended to be attached in such a manner that an arc arranged against the floor is provided between said joints. The natural operation of the tensioning systems is as follows: the system may remain in a rigid or tense state due to the vertebral (fig. 5) and external (fig. 11) ribs, situation caused by the tensi on originated by the tensioning strings or cables (fig. 11), so that the roofs may have a different geometry between the furthest posts, which starts at the straight portion (fig. 33) to the curve or inverted arc portion (fig. 31).</p> |
