<p>The present invention provides an ARQ operation apparatus based on an MPEG media transport system and a method thereof. The ARQ operation apparatus based on the MPEG media transport system includes: a packet receiving unit which receives an MMT packet stream from an MPEG media transport (MMT) transmission entity; a message generating unit which generates an ARQ feedback (AF) signaling message for requesting retransmission for one or loss packets included in the received MMT packet stream and includes a packet ID in the loss packet; and a message transmitting unit which transmits the generated AF signaling message to the MMT transmission entity. The present invention can secure the recovery of the loss packet for the packet stream excluding a flow label in an ARQ method based on the flow label according to an existing MMT standard.</p> |
