<p>The present invention relates to a power transmission device, and more specifically, to a multifunctional power transmission device using an MR fluid to control and transmit power by selectively or simultaneously performing a clutch function and a brake function. The multifunctional power transmission device comprises: a housing wherein a space is formed as a first housing and a second housing are combined; a first rotary shaft connected to a drive side connected to a bearing installed in a central portion of the first housing as a coil is covered in a certain portion of the inner space of the first and second housing; and a second rotary shaft connected to a bearing installed in a central portion of the second housing, covering a portion of the first rotary shaft, being installed in the housing, and being connected to a driven side which is not in contact with the first rotary shaft and the housing due to a gap. The gap is filled with the MR fluid.</p> |
