The contact pin is made of a metal tube with a collar. A contact wire is inserted through the tube and the latter crimped around it. The end of the tube can be flanged so that the tube is held in a hole in a suitable wall. Thus the wall lies between the flanged end and the collar. The contact pin is made from a rectangular sheet metal plate with slots cut into one end, i.e. the end that can later be made into the flange. The sheet is rolled and pressed to make the radially projecting collar.
