<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the step device of an escalator, whose safety when a foreign matter is caught between steps is enhanced by reducing a gap between the steps in a state that the steps form one and the same plane and by adopting such a structure that foreign matter easily falls out even when the collision with a comb plate arranged on an upper getting on/off floor or a lower getting on/off floor occurs in a state that foreign matter is caught between the steps. <P>SOLUTION: Such a structure is adopted that chamfering of a gentle slop is formed on the front end side of a demarcation of the step, preferably, on both of the front end side and the back end side thereof. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
