<p>The invention relates to a process and an apparatus for the detection and localization of liquids leaking from a pipe. According to the invention, the process consists in that a sonic generator periodically generates, for very short time intervals, calibrated pressure pulses at one end of a pipe, the intensity and frequence of said pulses being set depending on the parameters of the installation conveying the liquid and also on the properties thereof, followed by viewing and recording the signal as a diagram. The apparatus claimed by the invention comprises a sonic generator () driven by a low-power motor () of variable rotary speed and a pressure sensor () to which a system for viewing and recording the signal is attached.</p> |
