The present invention relates to a thin film transistor and a thin film transistor array panel including the same. A thin film transistor according to the present invention includes a substrate; a semiconductor layer formed over the substrate; a first gate electrode substantially overlapping the semiconductor layer while being interposed between the first gate electrode and the semiconductor layer; a second gate electrode substantially overlapping the first gate electrode while being interposed between the first gate electrode and an interlayer insulating layer; and source and drain electrodes connected to the semiconductor layer, wherein the first and second gate electrodes are electrically connected to each other.
