The apparatus has a steam generating base connected to a steam iron by a cord. The cord comprises a steam conduit (20) for transporting steam. The conduit is connected to the base by a quick connector. The quick connector comprises a head (6) axially retained in a cavity of a body (5), and an automatic locking unit for locking the head at a locking position in which the head is sealingly connected to the body. The head is carried by a solenoid valve (4) that is fixed to a vessel for generation of steam under pressure. The locking unit comprises an elastic fastener (7) carried by the body. |
