<p>612726 A safety valve (60) for use in a dairy backflushing and dipping system is disclosed. The safety valve is situated on or near a milker unit to seal and protect downstream dairy milk lines from teat dip and cleaning fluids that are fed through the safety valve to upstream milker unit components. All of the fluids, including dip, cleansers, water, and air pass through and are controlled by the safety valve. The valve includes a backflush piston (120) which operates with a first seal (96) to seal a backflush conduit and with a second seal (94) to seal a milk conduit.</p> |
