<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a regeneration device and method for a diesel engine particulate removing filter capable of performing regeneration processing safely. <P>SOLUTION: It is determined whether execution of the regeneration processing is necessary in accordance with the accumulation amount of particulates in the diesel engine particulate removing filter. When it is required to forcibly execute the regeneration processing, it is determined whether the state of a vehicle is safe based on operation information on the vehicle mounted with the diesel engine particulate removing filter. When the vehicle state is safe, input of a forced regeneration instruction signal for forcibly executing the regeneration processing is permitted.
