<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stain-preventing method which efficiently prevents growth of a stain in an gas phase part in an oil quenching column in a manufacturing process for olefins and, for more details, to provide a method which efficiently prevents growth of a stain which occurs on a rack and a wall of the column in the gas phase part in the oil quenching column, particularly on a rear side of the rack. <P>SOLUTION: The stain growth-preventing method for the gas phase part in the oil quenching column includes a heat recovery process in a middle shelf of the column, and allows the presence of an effective amount of a polymerization inhibitor for preventing growth of the stain in a condensate of a process steam in the gas phase part of the oil quenching column in the process for manufacturing the olefins. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
