A method for de-duplication is provided. A method of determining duplicate database entries, wherein the database entries correspond to images, comprises retrieving an image to be added to the database, determining a plurality of image descriptors for said image, comparing said descriptors with existing image descriptors corresponding to existing images in the database to determine potential duplication, and outputting an optimised database. The descriptors may be BRISK descriptors. Methods of facilitating online transactions are also provided. |
