摘要 A method of analysing multiple viewsheds and their intersections comprising: obtaining object positions 602, associated with a range 604, from a data source; defining a relevant area 606 such as a scene, landscape or terrain; obtaining elevation data for a plurality of points in the area 608 from a second data source; evaluating lines of sight between the points and the object positions 610 based on the elevation data; and determining an interest zone comprising a subset of the points within the area 612. The method is implemented by a computer processing device. A graphical user interface displaying a rendered, navigable three dimensional map that allows user interaction may be provided. The altitude data may comprise natural features, such as mountains, cliffs, hills, valleys, plains, fields, lakes, seas, oceans, rivers, streams, ponds or other water bodies, or man-made features such as buildings, towers, walls, roads, bridges, platforms, cars, vans, buses, coaches, lorries, trucks, goods vehicles, tanks, armoured vehicles or other structures or vehicles. The objects may include individuals, vehicles, structures, devices, sites and events such as shootings, explosions, attacks, photographs, communications, videos or reports. The topographical points may be defined in a geographic coordinate system such as latitude and longitude values.
