<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuously variable transmission which can prevent gear ratio control from being performed with a criterion of an inappropriate reference position even if a learning permission condition is not satisfied while a step position that serves as a criterion of the gear ratio control of the toroidal type continuously variable transmission is learned, and can be shifted to the gear ratio control quickly. <P>SOLUTION: The gear ratio control is started based on a step position in the gear ratio control stored in a controller which is learned immediately before the present learning control in such a way that the learning control executed now is suspended with a criterion of a condition that the learning control has been finished immediately once by a fourth function possessed by the controller. Therefore, the gear ratio control can be started with a criterion of an appropriate step position which can achieve a condition that gear ratio is infinite, and the control can be shifted to the gear ratio control quickly in comparison with the case that the control is shifted to the gear ratio control after the learning control which is executed now has been finished. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
