PURPOSE:To facilitate handling and prevent occurrence of trouble, by providing an automatic opening and closing lid in the charge port of banknotes in a device designed to take in the lump charged banknotes one by one automatically. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic head reads the account number and other information from a card to issue a rotation command to a motor 63, and excites a solenoid 58 to lower a hook 55. A switch actuation pin 51 is set free, and the rotations of the motor 62 wil cause an eccentric cam 63 to move a lid body 101 horizontally through an oscillation lever 54 and a connecting rod 53, thereby opening a charge port 3 automatically. A customer charges banknotes P1 in lump from the port 3 and stores into a storage box 102. When the customer pulls the lid body 101 in the arrow direction to close the port 3, the pin 51 fits into a recess groove 56 in the hook 55 which has been reset due to de-excitation of the solenoid 58, and the lid body 101 is locked to close the switch 57, so that the cash-in mechanism 100 functions. By providing an automatically opening and closing lid body in the port 3, the handling procedure is facilitated and becomes secure, so that the reliability may be enhanced. |
