PURPOSE:To prevent miswriting owing to overflow of memory by judging the writing permissible range at the writing to the memory through external operation and displaying this. CONSTITUTION:When the year and month to be written in the year and month writing calendar counter of the watch provided with a memory which obtains writing of the year and month from the Christian year and month up to the previous month of the next year counted by the year and month counters of the time circuit are counted by external operation, the count value indicating the lowest numerical value of the Christian year of the calendar year counter and the count value of the calendar month counter are subtracted in a subtractor A. When borrow is produced, 1 is added in the adder A and said value is compared with the count value of the calendar counter being inputted to the circuit A. As a result of this comparison, the output of an OR gate 30 inverts according to the coincidence and non-coincidence. When it becomes out of the writing permissible range owing to the non-coincidence, Err is displayed by the inverted output of the gate 30. Hence, overflow of the memory does not occur and miswriting is prevented. |
