Educational puzzle for music students - includes cards bearing staves and smaller cards with parts of bars of music which may fit on to staves

The educational puzzle is designed to teach pupils the theory of music - in particular the way bars may be constructed in 2, 3, and 4 time. Eight large cards are provided with staves marked out either for 2, 3, or 4 time. Above and below the staves are small pictures for example of a flower, leap-frog or butterfly. Eighty small cards are provided, each carrying a part of a bar and these are arranged to fit over the staves on the large cards. They also carry parts of the same motifs as appear on the large cards, and these serve as markers to indicate allowable combinations of parts of bars which from proper bars to the chosen time.
