<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus, a recognizing system, a recognizing method and a program that enable the rate of recognition to be enhanced by selecting features for use in recognition. <P>SOLUTION: An information processing apparatus comprises: a data acquiring unit 102 that acquires a Doppler sensor output signal that has a frequency corresponding to the difference between the frequency of an electromagnetic wave or a radiation wave, a supersonic wave, having irradiated a recognition object 20 and the frequency of a reflected wave resulting from reflection of the radiation wave by the recognition object; a feature selecting unit 112 that selects features according to the result of evaluation of pre-acquired sample data of the Doppler sensor output signal; a feature quantity extracting unit 106 that extracts out of the Doppler sensor output signal feature quantities matching the features selected by the feature selecting unit; and a recognizing unit 108 that executes recognition processing by pattern matching of feature quantities matching the features selected by the feature selecting unit out of the feature quantities of the sample data and feature quantities extracted by the feature quantity extracting unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
