<p>The present invention pertains to an agent for reducing drying shrinkage which, in order to obtain good reproducibility of high-precision molded bodies in extrusion molding etc. of ceramics, is effective in minimizing the shrinkage of ceramic molded bodies due to drying after molding, and does not affect characteristics such as porosity. The invention also pertains to a method for reducing drying shrinkage of ceramic molded bodies in which the agent for reducing drying shrinkage is used. This agent for reducing drying shrinkage contains polymeric microparticles, and is characterized in that said polymeric microparticles have an average particle diameter of 0.01 to 10 µm when saturated and swollen with deionized water, and in that 0.1 to 60 mL/g of deionized water are absorbed at normal pressure. In addition, the polymeric microparticles preferably have no more than 3.0 mmol/g of an acidic functional group that has been neutralized with an alkali.</p> |
