<p>PURPOSE:To regulate pH of slurry without the addition of sulfuric acid by bringing waste gas deprived of dust into contact with slurry frown from adsorption system in a wet desulfurization process using an adsorbent slurry. CONSTITUTION:The waste gas 18 containing sulfurous acid gas and dust is brought into contact with water and dilute sulfuric acid in the dust-removing tower 1 to remove part of dust and sulfurous acid, and then sent to the mist eliminator 10 to remove residual dust. Then, the gas is partially sent to the absorbent liquid blowing tank 16 and the remaining gas is sent to the absorption tower 2 for desulfurization, using an absorbent, e.g., lime stone, quick lime, and slaked lime, supplied in a slurry. The slurry from the absorption system is then brought contact with the waste gas deprived of dust, where unreacted quick lime, lime stone, and slaked lime are converted into calcium sulfate, permitting the regulation of pH without the addition of sulfuric acid.</p> |
