<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shield a light leaked to a portion other than a corresponding viewpoint in a multiple viewpoint display using a parallax barrier. <P>SOLUTION: The display device includes: a display section for displaying a multiple viewpoint image giving individual images to each viewpoint of a first viewpoint number in a first region in a screen, and displaying a multiple viewpoint image giving individual images to each viewpoint of a second viewpoint number different from the first viewpoint number in a second region in the screen; a barrier section having a plurality of openings which correspond to each position on the screen of the display section, pass each of the plurality of lights output from a pixel group at the corresponding positions therethrough, and give the passed lights to the corresponding viewpoints; and a control section which arranges a plurality of openings formed in a portion corresponding to a first region in the barrier section and a plurality of openings formed in a portion corresponding to a second region in the barrier section at different pitches from each other, according to the image displayed on the display section. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
