<p>Disclosed is an oil content adsorbent material for collecting the oil content in water. Also disclosed is a method for producing an oil content adsorbent material. The oil content adsorbent material comprises magnetic particles and an inorganic oxide layer that is formed on the surface of each magnetic particle, and is characterized in that the inorganic oxide layer is composed of at least one of silica, titania, alumina, zirconia or zinc oxide that is formed by a hydrolysis reaction of a metal alkoxide. A method for producing oil content adsorbent particles comprises: a step of preparing a slurry solution by mixing a metal alkoxide, a solvent and magnetic particles; a step of forming agglomerates by spray-drying the slurry solution; and a step of subjecting the agglomerates to a silane coupling treatment.</p> |
