<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data controller by which data communication between devices becomes possible by a simple operation. <P>SOLUTION: When it detects that the first device 102 and a second device 103 are placed on a device controller 101, the device controller 101 acquires pieces of information on them. (S1, S2). The device controller 101 issues a command corresponding to an operation of data transfer to the first device 102 and the second device 103 (S3). When input of starting of the data transfer by a user operation is detected, the device controller 101 determines which operation of transmission and reception in the data transfer the first device 102 and the second device 103 is considered as (S5).
